Kartarpur Gurdwara: CM Buzdar orders action over model bareheaded photoshoot

LAHORE: A bareheaded photoshoot of a model in the premises of Kartarpur Gurdwara came under fire recently. Following to which, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday took notice of the act and sought a report from the chief secretary.

CM Buzdar also ordered an inquiry into the photo shoot at Gurdwara Kartarpur premises and said that action should be taken against the staff who allowed modeling.

The chief minister said that “We respect the sentiments of minorities living in Pakistan,” he said and added it is clear that the incident has hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community.

On the other hand, Punjab Police has launched probe into the incident.

A clothing brand shoot was pointed out by prominent Indian Sikh journalist, Ravinder Singh Robin. In the aforementioned shoot, a model can be seen bareheaded, posing for the camera, compromising the sanctity of the place.

The furore over the pictures soon took over social media as many called out the brand and the models for being insensitive towards Sikhs.
