‘Meera admitted to mental facility in US’, actress manager terms it “rubbish, rumour”

The famous Pakistani actress Meera had been admitted to a mental hospital in New York, such reports were circulating all around since yesterday on social media, following to which when reached out for a comment, her mother Shafqat Zahra confirmed that the claims were true.

On the other side of the story, when a local news outlet contacted Meera’s manager Muhammad Qasim, the latter rejected all such claims and termed it out as ‘untrue’.

The Manager also told the TV channel reporter that “Meera is perfectly fine, both in terms of her mental and physical health and she is at her home in the US,” and added that this entire fake story seems like that Meera’s mother is spreading rumours to resolve a personal dispute related to proeperty and I have nothing more to interfere and add as Zahra is, after all, her mother.”

Journalist of a local TV channel also posted a video of Meera’s mother on Twitter handle:

Zahra said that she hasn’t heard from her daughter ever since and her in-laws are also clueless about where she has been taken. “We tried our best to find out the reason but couldn’t. So now I’d like to appeal to the government of Pakistan to do something about it. I have already appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan and Sheikh Rasheed,” she added.
