Pakistan, Russia ready to boost bilateral ties in key fields

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Russsian counterpart Sergey Lavrov mutually agreed to enhance the bilateral cooperation between both the countries in diversified fields of interest.

FM Qureshi today welcomed Russian leader at the Foreign office in Islamabad. During the talks, both leaders jointly agreed to increase cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and defence.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi heading the Pakistani side during talks with Russian delegation also said discussed the Pakistan-Stream Gas Pipeline project side, regional security and economic diplomacy.

Islamabad is extending facilities including that of e visa to the foreign investors, FM Qureshi added.

The foreign minister also said that Pakistan has shifted its priorities from geo-politics to geo-economics. Both sides agreed to hold the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission at the earliest for the promotion of economic relations.
