KARACHI: Karachi’s KMC Sports Complex became the battlefield of guts and technique where martial artists from around the country united to witness the unlimited showdown, Karachi Cage Fighting League Season 3 organized by Bushi Ban Martial Arts & Fitness Studio.
The ultimate coaches and athletes came down to support Mixed Martial Arts as a sport and remarkable athletes of the country who work day in and day out to make the sport a mainstream sport in the country.
The games commenced by keeping the Islamic traditions of Tilawat-e-Quran Pak and Naat Khuwani and the National Of Pakistan which was a moment of pride for the attendees and Pakistanis around the world.
Many renowned names who are associated with the game and are representing Pakistan around the world and the country including Ovais “Enigma Shah who represents Pakistani Mixed Martial Arts at One Championship, Osama Khan, Shahid Javed from The Grind, Shoaib Butt, Saeed Afridi, Mahjabeen Shoaib, Paul Asif Ali, Abdul Samad Khan and Ahmad Bilal Idrees Sukhera of The Forge Pakistan, Zakir Abbas from Checkmat Pakistan and many others.
The games had equal opportunities for women as well. There were special bouts where Areeba and Sheza became the talk of the entire event and competed in a special Taekwondo bout where Areeba won by Decision. Apart from that, Haroon Al Rashid who is an African student at Karachi’s famous Jamia Banoria and a practicing MMA athlete won a fight at KCFL. Apart from that one of the main attractions was a PRO MMA fight by Jamal Abbas who won and is still the KCFL champion and retained his title gave an amazing fight to the audience. The games were not only enjoyed by the community but were also supported by many prominent personalities and sports promoters like Senior Director KMC Mansoor Qazi, Director Sports KMC Kanwar Ayub, Gohar Raza Pakistan School Sports, Saad Khalid of Indus Pharma, Director Bushiban Mr. Malik Mohammad Ayaz, Director Physical Education Mahjabeen Shoaib, Director Physical Education Fauzia Falak, Sports Promoter Saeed Aalam and many others assured the athletes and MMA community to provide whole-hearted support so that the sport can become a mainstream in the country.
Pakistan needs a representation in the world when it comes to Mixed Martial Arts as it is one of the emerging sports in the world. The Government of Pakistan which is led by Imran Khan who is one of the most decorated sportsmen in the world should play his role to promote the sport and MMA Athletes at the international level.
