KARACHI: The deadly outbreak of novel coronavirus has till now taken the lives of more than 1,197 Pakistanis with 30 new confirmed deaths.
Moreover, the nationwide tally of positive cases has jumped to 57,705, media reports said today.
In view of the latest updates by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), within last 24 hours, 1,356 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 across Pakistan.
The topmost cases of this pandemic witnessed in Sindh province, next is Punjab, then comes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and last Balochistan.
Sindh reported highest 22,934 positive cases of COVID-19, followed by Punjab reported to have 20,654 confirmed cases, 8,080 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3,468 in Balochistan, 1,728 in Islamabad, 630 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 211 in Azad Kashmir.
The quarantine centers are providing treatment to all patients which are established in more than 400 hospitals and other places.
It is also important to mention here that Pakistan has till now conducted 490,908 coronavirus tests and 7,252 in last 24 hours.
As far as recovery is concerned, around 18,314 COVID-19 patients have recovered in the country.
