LAHORE: Following the right footsteps of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), prominent businessman and Chairman MCB Limited Mian Mansha donated protective items amounting Rs 10 million to Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid to help the frontline workers who are fighting against COVID-19 outbreak.
The minister expressed her warm gratitude to Mian Mansha for such philanthropic act from his side at such a time when Pakistan is struggling hard to get rid from the deadly coronavirus outbreak and to manage the economy.
Additional Secretary SHME Department Asif Tufail, President MCB Imran Maqbool, Hassan Nawaz Tarar and other officials were present during the occasion.
Elaborating the list of items included in the donation, minister revealed that it comprises of N95 masks, protective gears, gloves, goggles and shoes.
Later, Dr Yasmin Rashid appreciated the support given by the Chairman MCB and said that government cannot defeat the coronavirus spread unless it gets full support of business community and philanthropists.
