Negotiations between Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Airline Pilots Association (PALPA) have been successful and PIA has agreed to provide protective equipment to airline crew.
According to an agreement signed by the concerned authorities the airline will ensure provision of safety equipment to pilots and disinfection of airplanes which the pilots will monitor themselves.
The airline would also ensure training and briefing of cabin crew and the relevant ground handling staff.
In case a problem arises after receiving the green light from the pilot, PIA would not be held responsible for the issue. Lastly, any pilot that has apprehensions about the coronavirus safety protocols will have to inform the management in writing.
