LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan yesterday made it clear to the PTI lawmakers in Punjab that the incumbent provincial chief minister Usman Buzdar would not be removed from his position.
Sources disclosed that the prime minister also said that he was well aware of the conspirator behind Buzdar and that he would not come under any pressure in this case.
While speaking to a group of PTI MNAs and MPAs, PM Khan also remarked that even if Buzdar was removed, the new chief minister “wouldn’t even last for 15 to 20 days in office”, sources said.
During the meeting PTI legislators from the Punjab Assembly discussed various problems of their respective constituencies in the province.
Sources also told that PM Imran said that the inaccurate and the negative perception was created that CM Punjab lacks the required authority and added that the chief secretary and Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Punjab were new and would work in Buzdar’s team.
