Angeline Malik launches awareness campaign on rising child abuse incidents

Karachi: Prominent celebrity and actress Angeline Malik held a presser at Karachi Press Club yesterday in line of launching her campaign against child abuse.

The objective of Malik’s campaign was to create maximum awareness among general public on child abuse incidents that are increasing fast in our society.

It must be mentioned here that during the press conference Malik also screened few of the promos in both Urdu and English pertaining to her short film to be produced soon on the subject of child abuse.

During the event, top celebrities of Pakistan entertainment industry also depicted their views on this grave issue of child abuse which has grasped our society at present.

The celebrities who spoke about this severe and sensitive issue includes actress Ushna Shah, Hina Bayat, Saman Ansari, Samina Ahmed, Bushra Ansari, actor Ahmed Ali Butt, Eijaz Aslam, Alyy Khan, actress Sarwat Gillani, Samiya Mumtaz, Rasikh Ismail, Salma Hasan, Suzain Fatima and Nida Yasir.

During the press conference, shining stars of Pakistani TV and films were also present in person to speak about this alarming issue and also to show their solidarity with the victims of the child abuse.

The attendees includes Angeline Malik, Samina Ahmed, Bushra Ansari, Zeba Bakhtiar, Ally Khan, Faraz Khan (Advisory board member of Muhafiz) and Mehnaz Rehman (Auraat Foundation).

It is pertinent to mention here that, the rising rate of child abuse needs immediate and proper attention of all the concerned authorities and on the other side the government should also give the most severe form of punishment to the culprits who are involved in this heinous crime.

Whereas, not only the government but it is also equally important for the parents and educational institutions to pay immense heed to this issue of child abuse and should teach and train their children accordingly.
