The Lahore High Court (LHC) yesterday granted bail to ousted premier Nawaz Sharif from the custody of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on basis of his extremely deteriorating health conditions.
According to details, the court granted bail with the submission two surety bonds of Rs10 million each in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
The lawyer of the PML-N leader Nazir Tarar said they had applied for his bail on account of his poor health as Nawaz had witnessed a huge decline in the level of his platelets count.
Moreover, the doctors also diagnosed Nawaz with acute idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and assured that he can get complete medical treatment remaining in Pakistan.
On the other hand, the bone marrow tests of Nawaz were all cleared by the medical board and there was no sign of bone cancer.
However, former PM will remain imprisoned as a similar petition is also being heard in Islamabad High Court (IHC) pertaining to corruption reference in Al-Azizia case.
