Karachi: In order to effectively manage the traffic on roads in Karachi, it is necessary now that entry of intercity coaches and buses in the city should also be banned to resolve traffic issues.
Moreover, if the government takes this step then it will also result in reducing air pollution. It must be mentioned here that a large fleet of intercity buses and coaches continuously moves from one place to another in Karachi under the patronage of many illegal intercity bus terminals in the city.
One of the known illegal bus terminal exists in the area of Saddar that creates immense traffic and congestion problems. The provincial government should devise such a strategy through which the city could get rid of this menace.
If the provincial and city government are serious to resolve civic issues of Karachi then this issue should be addressed without any delay
It is further stated that when the government has already constructed spacious and modern bus terminals worth in billions of the RCD Highway and M-9 Suhrab Goth then there exists no rationality in allowing illegal bus terminals to operate.
