QUETTA: At least four people were killed while several others got severely injured in an explosion targeting a police vehicle in Quetta yesterday, police said.
The deadly blast took place close to a police vehicle in the jurisdiction of the City police station located close to Bacha Khan Chowk, DIG Quetta Police Abdul Razzaq Cheema said.
Quetta’s top police official Cheema also said that an additional Station House Officer (SHO) who was critically injured in the attack was taken to a the City Trauma Centre for medical treatment.

It must be mentioned here that according to the police, the cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained
The site of the blast had been cordoned off by the police and further investigations are underway.
It may be mentioned here that the place of the incident is considered as one of the busiest neighbourhoods in the provincial capital.
Moreover, all the injured and bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital, where officials confirmed the death toll.
