‘Sridevi may have been murdered,’ claims Indian police officer

The Director General of Police (Prisons) of Kerala Rishiraj Singh has opened a wave of controversy in India after he gave the shocking statement over the death of legendary Indian actress late Sridevi.

Singh, in a column for the local newspaper Kerala Kaumudi, wrote that Sridevi’s death ‘might not have been due to drowning’, India Today reported.

The legendary actress of Indian cinema Sridevi who breathed her last on February 24, 2018 after she drowned in a bathtub of a hotel in Dubai.

It must be mentioned here that at that time also many conspiracy theories emerged that created many suspicions about her real cause of death.

Well, the top police official attributes his claims to a conversation he had with his friend, forensic expert Dr Umadathan, ‘out of curiosity’. That friend, Dr Umadathan, is not alive to confirm this.

“My friend and the late forensic expert Dr Umadathan had told me long back that Sridevi’s death might have been a murder and not an accidental death. This he told me when I asked him about Sridevi’s death, out of curiosity,” wrote Singh.

“He also pointed out certain facts to back his claims. According to him, a person will never drown in one-foot deep water, however much he drinks. He will drown only if somebody holds his both legs and sinks his head into the water,” wrote the IPS officer. These facts have however been analysed ad nauseam and there’s no way to be certain about them.

The superstar was in UAE to attend a family wedding when she breathed her last. Dubai police autopsy report also confirmed that the drowning was the cause of actress death.
