President Ghani meets Shehbaz Sharif, Bilawal Bhutto

ISLAMABAD: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani yesterday had a meeting with the leader of the opposition in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in separate meetings held in the federal capital.

It must be mentioned here that, Ghani is on a two-day visit Pakistan.

The visiting dignitary expressed his condolences on the death of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz and extended good wishes to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, PML-N official statement said.

Moreover, Afghan president also appreciated the role of Nawaz Sharif for regional peace and said that he maintains a cordial relation with Shehbaz Sharif since meeting with him first time in 1980, statement added.

According to a statement released by the PPP, its chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Ghani had discussed various issues of bilateral cooperation and peace process in Afghanistan.
